Huit

The end of the journey (and the beginning of the next).

I write to you from Las Palmas, Gran Canaría, Spain. The Africa Mercy spends a few weeks every summer docked in a shipyard for maintenance and servicing. After a two-week sail from Douala, Cameroon with a short stopover in Dakar, Senegal, the last ten months seem like a dream - a blur of distant memories.

I'm not sure that I have the ability to articulate with words what this past year has meant to me. So instead, I'll show you a video I put together during the sail.

Thank you sincerely for all of the support which allows me the opportunity to document some of these stories. I am incredibly blessed to be able to do this work.

On that note...

I have some news: I was asked to return to my role as videographer with Mercy Ships' Communications and Marketing Department next year in Conakry, Guinea. After careful consideration, I've decided to extend my contract for another year. It took me a little bit of time to really settle into this role and I just felt like I would be leaving something on the table if I didn't come back for another field service. I truly believe in the work this organization is doing and I'd like to offer up the best work I am capable of delivering. Once again, I'll need your help, support, prayer, and all of the good vibes I can get!

Here's a link to my donor page if you are interested in supporting me this year in Guinea:

Thank you, God bless you and Cheers!
Caleb
